Eid Announcement

HDMS follows local moonsighting, traditionally we seek guidance from Moonsighting Australia. Advice from this group tonight was that the moon was NOT sighted in Australia.

However our Brothers at Rooty Hill and other sources have some sightings at Rooty Hill and there is news that the moon has also been sighted in Casuarina Beach, Darwin.

HDMS shura has decided with those present at taraweeh tonight that HDMS will offer 2 Eid prayers at Harvey Lowe Pavilion, although maintaining its position as following Moonsighting Aust’s advice.

For those who wish to follow the sightings of Rooty Hill and Darwin, HDMS is providing the Harvey Lowe Pavilion for both Friday with Dr Karim leading the prayer, and Saturday with Sheikh Saleh. Start time is 7:30 a.m. both days, in sha Allah.

Jummah prayer will still be offered at Wrights Rd tomorrow.

HDMS will be hosting Eid prayers at the Harvey Lowe Pavilion, Doran Drive Castle Hill, starting at 7:30 a.m., in sha Allah. Please feel free to bring some finger food to share, some light snacks and tea/coffee will be provided. Note that we are expecting a large crowd so please bring a sajadah and celebrate with the Hills community.
